Anti-Hate Intervention Training
Wednesday Oct 21, 2026
Building a safer community also means building a community where everyone feels they belong.
The Colbourne Institute of Inclusive Leadership, in partnership with PRISM Wetaskiwin, is offering Anti-Hate Intervention Training on Wednesday, October 21 at NorQuest College’s Wetaskiwin Campus.
This training is a great opportunity for community members to build practical skills and confidence to safely respond when they witness hate, discrimination, or harmful behaviour.
While this is not a CSWB-led event, it connects closely with Wetaskiwin’s Community Safety & Well-Being priorities. Racism & Discrimination is one of the ten priority areas identified in our local CSWB Strategy, and creating stronger, more inclusive communities is an important part of preventing harm and improving community well-being.
Wednesday, October 21
6:00–9:00 p.m.
NorQuest College – Wetaskiwin Campus, 5502 49 Avenue
Pay-what-you-can registration, with donations supporting PRISM Wetaskiwin programming
Register by emailing colbourneinstitute@norquest.ca
We encourage anyone interested in creating a safer, more welcoming and inclusive Wetaskiwin to consider taking part.
Community safety is about more than responding after harm occurs — it is also about strengthening belonging, building skills, and creating conditions that help prevent harm in the first place.PRISM Halloween Dance
